HOW TO MAKE A DOORLY DAIQUIRI
A tribute to one of our original Rocks Resident DJs and one of our most famous Ibiza Rocks Bar hair-of-the-dog cocktails, we present to you our mighty Doorly Daiquiri!
Round up your Ibiza crew and pretend you are on the sun-soaked white isle as you get whipping up some of these this January.
– 1 1/2 oz White Rum
– Handful of Strawberries
– 1 lime
– 1 tsp strawberry sauce
– 1 tsp strawberry liquor
– Handful of crushed ice
(Mint leaf optional for garnish)
WHO IS DOORLY?
Huddersfield export (and huge daiquiri fan) Doorly is the original Ibiza Rocks Resident DJ and has been part of our family from day one. Famed for his Doorly & Friends parties and some seriously special releases via Dirtybird, Toolroom and Hot Creations to name but a few; Doorly is always welcome on our stage!
This one couldn’t be easier! Firstly cut lime in half – use ½ to garnish, ½ to juice. If you happen to have a blender, put the crushed ice, strawberries, strawberry sauce, strawberry liquer and rum inside alongside the juice of a lime. Get blending and voila!
If you don’t have a blender, place strawberries, strawberry sause, strawberry liquer and rum into a wide glass and muddle with the end of a rolling pin. Place a larger glass over the top (if you have a cocktail shaker, even better) and get shaking.
Strain into a new glass and enjoy!
For an extra tip, place spare strawberries and lime slices into the freezer in advance and serve to garnish as alternative ice cubes.
