A Weekend Itinerary in Ibiza for UK Rap & Hip-Hop Fans

14th June 2023

One of the most common myths about Ibiza is that it's only for partiers that like dance music such as house, EDM, tech house, techno... the list goes on but they all blend into one. We're here to bust that myth though and prove that if UK Rap, Hip-Hop & RnB is more your thing; you can EASILY spend a whole weekend in Ibiza, at any time of the season, across multiple venues so you still get a proper island experience!

THURSDAY

DAYTIME

FIRE IN THE POOL – IBIZA ROCKS

Starting off your weekend away in the right way. Thursdays are THE day for UK Rap in Ibiza this summer. Fire in the Pool featuring ArrDee, Headie One, Digga D, Bugzy Malone, Krept & Konan and of course legendary Rap & Hip-Hop DJ Charlie Sloth takes places at Ibiza Rocks for the biggest pool party residency of it’s kind here on the White Isle.

Not forgetting a couple of special one-offs also taking place; Aitch2-0 is back for a second year over 2 days and starts on Thursday 13th July, plus D-Block Europe make their debut headline show in Ibiza at DBE Fest on 27th July.

THURSDAY

NIGHT

OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY – IBIZA ROCKS BAR

Keeping things in the Ibiza Rocks business, you’re going to head down to our beachfront bar and restaurant, serving delicious cocktails and the infamous chicken pitta.

But the main reason you’re going to make the 15 minute walk from Hotel to Bar is because it’s the home of the official afters for Fire in the Pool from 10pm – 4am with Ryan Aaron and Yoyce Sanchez… the party doesn’t have to stop!

FRIDAY

DAYTIME

the hip-hop Boat

Ibiza’s only Hip-Hop sunset cruise sets sail every Friday from San Antonio Port and is hosted by Ibiza veteran DJ Policy. Pre’s take place at Rio where you’ll get 120 minutes of bottomless drinks and snacks before heading out into the balearic sea for 3 hours of Rap, RnB, Afrobeats and everything inbetween.

PS. Pretty good view of the iconic Ibizan sunset included.

For those that get sea sick and are on the island on Friday 14th July, stick to solid land and head back to Ibiza Rocks for Day 2 of Aitch2-0 with Clavish, Nemzzz, Jocewavy and the man from manny himself, Aitch.

FRIDAY

NIGHT

URBAN POLICY – ITACA

You’ll quickly learn that if there is a Hip-Hop party going on in Ibiza, there’s a 99.9% chance that DJ Policy is playing it. That applies on Friday nights as once you’ve docked from the boat party, the next destination is Itaca, right next door to Ibiza Rocks Bar, for Urban Policy.

SATURDAY

DAYTIME

APPLEBUM – IBIZA ROCKS

On Saturdays in Ibiza you’ll find most people dress up in black and pretend to be an ant all afternoon 😉  We do it a bit differently as Applebum, the island’s biggest and longest running Hip-Hop & RnB Pool Party, lands at Ibiza Rocks.

Hosted by the wonderfully unpredictable Khadejia, one minute she’ll be spinning J Hus into Drake, the next she’ll be pouring Au Vodka into your mouth and twerking in the middle of the dancefloor… and we love her for it.

SATURDAY

NIGHT

MON CHERI – EDEN

Once you’ve recovered from all the twerking and dutty whining, next on the agenda is a trip to your first superclub of the weekend, Eden.

Every Saturday night, Mon Cheri delivers a combination of live performances from some of the UK’s hottest artists and DJs working in the scene including B Young, DBN GOGO, Sam Zer and Armel Bizzman.

Plus your now familiar faces Khadejia and Yoyce Sanchez will be stepping up the decks regularly to keep your night going.

SUNDAY

DAYTIME

global reggae bar – reggae beach

Sunday is the day of rest, but that certainly doesn’t mean you’re wasting a day in Ibiza. Reggae Reggae Beach is the perfect spot to soak up the sun, work on that tan, listen to chilled out carribean tunes whilst sipping on refreshing cocktails.

There’s no reaso why you couldn’t do this at any other point during your getaway; but Sunday is most definitely the best as the BBQ is brought out. You’ll be swallowed up by one of their beachside bean bags, enjoy incredibly tasty and authentic Jamaican food. There isn’t always enough to go around so get over there early!

SUNDAY

NIGHT

SOUL CITY – WEST END

If you know, you know. One of our all time favourite spots in Ibiza. It may not look like much from the outside, but trust us when we say this is probably the best Hip-Hop club on the island.

Hosted by DJ Policy near enough every single night (these DJ’s work hard don’t they?!), you’ll be greeted with the friendliest staff as well as reasonably-priced drinks.

Located on the the notorious West End, there are a few clubs to choose from but for us… Soul City is where it’s at. Team Rocks have spent many a night here and will continue to do so.

MONDAY

DAYTIME

NATHAN DAWE – ibiza rocks

Now hold on, you’re probably thinking Nathan Dawe and UK Rap don’t belong in the same sentence, but you’d be wrong. Nathan may be known for his chart-topping dance hits, however he will openly admit that Rap is his favourite genre to play and you’ll hear plenty of that in his sets every Monday across June & July.

Plus the special guests on his line-up include Yungen, Jaykae, A1 x J1 and Yung Filly… YEAH MANNN.

MONDAY

NIGHT

YOU KNOW THE VIBES – ES PARADIS

Congratulations, you’ve survived the weekend and now have to muscle up the strength for just one more night out. No points for guessing your host for the evening, of course it’s DJ Policy with his flagship night, The Vibes, at Es Paradis, often referred to as Ibiza’s most beautiful club.

Guests this summer include Rampage, DJ Ironik, Shortee Blitz and runs right up until 30th October, so you’ve still got your Hip-Hop fix if you want to catch some very late summer sun.

‘Ibiza’s only for people that like dance music right?’ WRONG

So there you have it.

5 full days in Ibiza, 10 different parties and experiences, all created specifically for people that love UK Rap, Hip-Hop, RnB.

Ibiza may be the island of dance, and it definitely favours the stereotypical dance music lover, but it’s not all about that.
