We chat with Laura, who spent the summer working as a Duty Officer, about her role, what it's like spending a summer in Ibiza, and advice for someone looking to apply for Summer 2025.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR ROLE
“Where to begin!? My role as Senior Marketing Executive is soooo varied, working across Ibiza Rocks, Pikes and Ibiza Rocks Bar. Our day to day’s can include anything from TikTok creating and shooting content with artists, behind the scenes photo and video shoots, announcing events throughout the winter months, going to the events during the summer and posting highlights throughout the day, writing blogs about the latest Ibiza happenings and working closely with other in resort teams to ensure our guests are always up to date with the latest news… In a nutshell, we sell the dream!”

“An absolute dream.”
FAVOURITE HIDDEN GEM ON THE ISLAND
“Although not so hidden these days, it’s got to be Freddies at Pikes. It’s the best dancefloor in the world. I’ve had some of my favourite nights under that magical disco ball with the likes of Denis Sulta, Fatboy Slim, Honey Dijon, Robyn, Bicep and Mark Ronson – just to name a few!”
WHAT’S BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE EVENT AT IBIZA ROCKS THIS SUMMER?
“Becky Hill’s YOU / ME / US residency. The energy she brings to each show is amazing and can be felt throughout the venue. The setlist is packed with all of her biggest bangers, sing-a-long classics and feel good tunes… It’s the perfect pool party!”
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE EVENT ON THE ISLAND?
“There’s been a few highlights… Eric Prydz at Ushuaïa, Bicep’s first Ibiza live show at Amnesia but my absolute favourite has been, Sonny Fodera & Gorgon City at Amnesia. So many bangers played, dancing the night away and having the best time with your closest pals – the vibes are unmatched.”
OTHER THAN THE PARTIES, WHAT WILL YOU MISS MOST ABOUT IBIZA IN THE WINTER?
“The ‘Popeye’ dish at Tapas in San An! That restaurant is unreal in general but that dish is heaven on a plate. I’ve been soooo many times and I never get bored of it.”
ADVICE YOU’D GIVE TO SOMEONE APPLYING TO WORK FOR A ROLE AT IBIZA ROCKS?
“Just go for it. The recruitment process might seem daunting but take a step out of your comfort zone and trust me, it’ll be worth it. Be yourself, prepare for it and show us the energy you’d give to our customers all summer long.”
