If you’re wondering when to go to Ibiza in 2027, the short answer is: June and September are the sweet spots. You get the full Ibiza experience – warm days, big nights and loads going on, without quite as many crowds.

But honestly, there’s no bad time to visit. April and May are ideal for getting ahead of the crowds, July and August are full-throttle summer, and September brings those legendary closing-party vibes.

Here’s what each month during the season looks like – and when you should book your trip depending on the kind of Ibiza you’re after.

April in ibiza

Best for: Opening party energy, without peak-season prices

April is when Ibiza starts feeling like Ibiza again.

The island begins its transition from sleepy winter mode into summer, with more restaurants, bars and venues reopening. By the end of the month, the first big opening-party weekends start bringing the buzz back.

And there’s another reason to look at April 2027: Ibiza Rocks opens on 1 April.

It’s also a great month for exploring. Think beach days, sunset missions, road trips and discovering spots like Es Vedrà before the island gets seriously busy.

Weather: Warm-ish days, cooler evenings – pack layers.
Ibiza Rocks: Open from 1st April

Our take: If you want to say “I was in Ibiza before everyone else got here”, April is your month.

May in Ibiza

Best for: Your first proper taste of summer

May is when things really start warming up.

The beaches are still relatively chilled, flights and accommodation can be more affordable than peak season, and the nightlife calendar starts filling up as more venues open.

By the end of the month, Ibiza is properly awake.

This is also a great time to stay at Ibiza Rocks if you want the party atmosphere without the full July/August price tag and crowds. The hotel has historically seen its pool and events calendar ramp up through May.

Weather: Around 16-22°C on average, getting warmer towards the end of the month.

Our take: May is the move for beach days, good food, nights out and fewer people fighting you for a sunbed.

June in Ibiza

Best for: The ultimate all-round Ibiza trip

If we had to pick one month for most people, it’s June.

It’s hot enough for pool days and beach sessions, the party calendar is in full swing, but you’re not dealing with quite the same level of crowds as July and August.

Major venues are open, daytime parties are going strong and the whole island has that unmistakable summer has officially started feeling.

It’s also a brilliant month for Ibiza Rocks. Stay at the hotel and you’ve got the pool, daily party atmosphere and San Antonio’s Sunset Strip right on your doorstep.

Weather: Around 18-26°C.

Our take: June is the sweet spot. Big enough to feel like Ibiza, chilled enough that you can still breathe.

July in Ibiza

Best for: Peak summer, big names and zero FOMO

July is Ibiza turned all the way up.

The days are long, the weather is hot and there is something happening pretty much everywhere you look. Pool parties, beach clubs, sunset sessions, club nights, boat parties… your itinerary can get very busy very quickly.

It’s peak season for a reason, but that also means higher prices and bigger crowds.

Weather: Around 21–29°C, often hotter in the sunshine.

Our take: If your priority is maximum party, maximum choice and maximum summer energy, book July.

Just remember: hydration is your friend.

August in Ibiza

Best for: The full Ibiza experience

August is peak PEAK season.

This is when the island is at its busiest, and hottest. Expect packed beaches, big club nights, busy restaurants and a party calendar that barely gives you time to sleep.

It’s also traditionally one of the most expensive times to visit.

But if you want Ibiza at its absolute loudest, August delivers.

Weather: Around 22-30°C on average, with hotter days possible.

Our take: Go in August if you’re here for the madness. Don’t come expecting a quiet getaway.

September in Ibiza

Best for: People who know

Ask an Ibiza regular when to visit and there’s a good chance they’ll say September.

The biggest summer crowds start to thin out, temperatures are still seriously warm and the party calendar keeps going. Then, towards the end of the month, closing-party season kicks in.

There’s something special about September in Ibiza. Everyone knows summer is nearly over, so the energy goes up rather than down.

Weather: Around 19–27°C.

Our take: September is arguably the best month for Ibiza. Hot days, big nights, fewer crowds and closing parties on the horizon.

October in Ibiza

Best for: Closing parties and one last big weekend

October is the final stretch of the Ibiza season — but don’t make the mistake of thinking it’s already over.

Closing parties traditionally run into late September and October, with some of the biggest names and wildest parties of the year turning up for one last dance. Ibiza Rocks is also confirmed to remain open until 18 October 2027.

The island is quieter, the weather can still be lovely and there’s a real last weekend of summer feeling in the air.

Ibiza Rocks: Closes 18 October

Our take: Perfect if you want the Ibiza experience without August crowds — and you’re happy to swap guaranteed sunshine for slightly more unpredictable weather.
