With plenty of media reports around right now either spelling ‘doom for the White Isle‘ or talking of a summer return it can be tough to know what is going on. We thought we would take the chance to answer some of the most common questions you have been asking us about the status of summer 2020 and try and give you the fact from the fiction.
The short answer on will Ibiza be open this summer is YES. Recently the island has been opening up in stages and throughout each stage cases of coronavirus have thankfully been on the decline.
The most recent details announced by the Spanish Government have indicated that international tourists can start coming back to Ibiza from 1st July without having to quarantine for two weeks on arrival.
Following on from the government announcement several airlines including EasyJet, Jet2 and Ryanair have announced that they plan to resume flights from 1st July with Ibiza being one of their main destinations. There obviously won’t be the number of flights available that there were last year but travel will be possible.
– Easyjet have said will be resuming flights from 22 airports across Europe from 15 June.
– Jet2 is planning to resume full services from 1 July, and will fly to several Spanish and Italian destinations including Ibiza
– Ryanair will be restoring 40% of its flights from 1 July and will resume flights from most of the 80 airports it flies from across Europe.
All venues in Ibiza have been given guidelines by the government to follow when opening to minimise risks as much as possible. These have included things like social distancing, additional cleaning and more but are constantly in review. It is obviously down to individuals to follow the advice to keep everyone safe.

Yes, when it comes to beaches, bars and restaurants they have all started to open up across the island with many more set to follow this month. Safety measures like social distancing and reduced capacities will still be live but will be under constant review.
This rumour keeps surfacing that the Ibiza season is being extended this year into October/November and even December. We don’t have any extra information to add right now but you never know! Christmas in Ibiza anyone?
On the clubs it is looking unlikely at the moment. The majority of the island’s super clubs have already announced closures for the season after an announcement by the government that for now they are to remain closed.
However, there is more to Ibiza than the night clubs. There is plenty to explore plus day venues wise with Ibiza Rocks being a well-established, open-air venue, we are lucky to be considered one of the safest environments to party. We are adapting our venue to safely bring you our new daily Poolside Sessions, our friends at Ocean Beach Club also announced they will be open from 1st July and many more are following suit.
