THE KOOKS LAUNCH MALLORCA ROCKS
It all kicked off on Sunday in Magaluf when The Kooks, Bombay Bicycle Club and Zane Lowe got the summer long party started, christening our brand spanking new hotel.

Bombay Bicycle Club were on support duties, showing us exactly why they've been getting rave reviews for the last year with an impressive set drawn from their first album 'I Had The Blues But Shook Them Loose'.

PETE DOHERTY TO KICK OFF SUMMER 2010
To celebrate the beginning of the 2010 season Ibiza Rocks is taking it right back to where this whole crazy adventure began.
That's right folks - to kick things off this year we're welcoming back Pete Doherty for an intimate, sunset-tinged, acoustic set at Ibiza Rocks' spiritual home: the Ibiza Rocks Bar slap bang on the beach in San Antonio.
This flat-out unmissable pre-season party takes place a week before the official start of Ibiza Rocks 2010 on Tuesday 1st June.
Pete's a longtime friend and fan of Ibiza; those of you with good memories will remember that it was he who first took Ibiza Rocks out of the back room of Manumission and into the open air with a legendary - not to mention chaotic - show at the beach bar way back in the early days of 2005 ...and Ibiza Rocks has never looked back!
We may have made the permanent move to the Ibiza Rocks Hotel in 2008 - but we're gonna break the rules for this one and let Pete push the boundaries yet again.
The beach bar has been completely refurbished for the 2010 season and we simply couldn't think of a better way of christening it than by hosting one of the finest songwriters of our generation.
A once-in-a-lifetime show is in the offing - so make sure you're there. Get your tickets here: www.seetickets.com/ibizarocks
We just can't wait!
NEW ADDITIONS - DIAGRAM OF THE HEART AND SOUTH CENTRAL
First up, we have off-the-hook new band Diagrams of the Heart who are signed to legendary dance label Deconstruction and are currently brewing up a storm of hype.
They'll be playing alongside Calvin Harris and Example on July 6, click here to check them out and hear what all the fuss is about.
Last year South Central blew us away in support of Pendulum so we'd thought we'd reward them with a slot on the bill of the biggest night the White Isle will see this summer.
That's right, they'll be joining The Prodigy and Rob Da Bank for our 5th Birthday Party on July 20 - it is going to be massive!
For an up-to-date rundown of all the gigs and to get your tickets head to www.ibizarocks.com right now.
We'll see you in a few weeks.
IAN BROWN TO MAKE IBIZA ROCKS DEBUT
A genuine living legend, he'll be bringing the full force of his massive back catalogue and huge fan following to the island to perform classic tracks from both his solo career and Roses days. Unmissable is the only way to describe it.
The decks on the evening will be manned by Union DJs as part of their massive Union meets Ibiza Rocks week - so make sure you grab those tickets now. They're sure to be fast moving.
EVERYTHING EVERYTHING CONFIRMED AS SUPPORT FOR MAXIMO PARK
Everything Everything are hotly tipped to be one of the breakthrough acts of 2010 and with good reason: their new single 'Schoolin' has already snapped up Zane Lowe's Hottest Record In The World honour and they're currently blowing audiences away on the NME's Radar Tour as you read this.
A big line up just got a bit bigger... so make sure you're a part of it.
Click here to get your tickets now.
THE LINE UP GROWS! AND GROWS, AND GROWS!
We've got it all covered - the big rock riffs in the form of débutantes Biffy Clyro, the indie anthems of Maximo Park, the first band to play Ibiza Rocks, and Bombay Bicycle Club, the Brooklyn hype of The Drums, the bass and beats of Chase & Status and the smooth flow of Tinie Tempah.
Add to that the record boxes of Kissy Sell Out, Rob Da Bank and the Reverend Soundsystem - what can we say? We've spoilt you big time!
Especially with the likes of The Prodigy, Florence and the Machine, Dizzee Rascal and The Kooks already announced.
Speaking about his appearance at this year's Ibiza Rocks, Tinie Tempah said: "I cannot wait to come & disturb Ibiza Rocks! It'll be my first time in Ibiza and I’ve heard its absolute pandemonium!
"I'm putting a special set together specifically for Ibiza Rocks, I’m going to make sure the crowd have the experience of a lifetime."
So, the Ibiza Rocks line up so far is:

KLAXONS BRING THE CURTAIN DOWN ON IBIZA ROCKS 2009
What a summer!
The party started with the Ting Tings way back in June and since then we’ve been graced with the presence of some of the hottest – hell – THE hottest acts in the world right now: MGMT, Soulwax, Dizzee Rascal, Vampire Weekend, Friendly Fires, Groove Armada and Calvin Harris to name but a few.
And even with that line-up, the best was arguably saved till last: the return of Klaxons certainly wasn’t something that anybody present at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel on Tuesday will forget in a hurry.
The energy and invention that Klaxons brought with them when they burst onto the scene back in 2007 has never showed any sign of waning, even during their recent absence from the limelight. And based on this performance, they’re more alive now than ever.
Big Pink kicked off the evening: their electrifyingly huge sound lifting the crowd skyward and leaving us in no doubt of their deserved future at the forefront of the UK scene.
But it was when the genre-bending, trend-setting, label-defying headliners took the stage that the crowd really went wild. Hits new and old merged into a non-stop assault of danceable, dazzling, future rock music: frankly, Klaxons are everything Ibiza Rocks is about, and those packed in around the stage, the pool, and the balconies roared their approval throughout.
In true Ibiza Rocks style, the party carried on well into the early hours for the Reclaim The Dancefloor! Finale, with Digitalism, Chase + Status and Caspa all burning it down in a spectacularly epic fashion.
For pictures of the evening’s end-of-summer events, click here to treat those peepers.
Don’t forget to have a look at www.xbox.com now, where you can see MGMT, The Kooks, Vampire Weekend, Calvin Harris, Dizzee Rascal, The Ting Tings, Friendly Fires and more rip it up at Ibiza Rocks, courtesy of our good friends over at Xbox and Guitar Hero.
As well as stocking the IR Hotel with Xbox Kiosks and running Guitar Hero World Tour Sessions at the Xbox Social, they’ve also produced these amazing short films with us. Have a look.
Check back soon for a Best of 2009 end of season clip, with all your favourite bits from the summer.
What more can we say, except: same time next year?
Let’s push things forward. Welcome to the next phase. Welcome to the Mallorca Rocks Hotel.
