  • The Courteeners Triumph At Ibiza Rocks

What a night, what a gig! The summer is really warming up now and it was on scorching form last night at the Ibiza Rocks hotel.

The Courteeners, Goldhawks, Toddla T and the Reverend Soundsystem were all in peak condition - bringing out the big tunes all night long.

London based newcomers Goldhawks kicked off proceedings - their Americana tinged indie-rock has been ripping up venues across the UK and they didn't disappoint on the White Isle with a cracking set of fresh and exciting material.

DJ Toddla T then took to the decks, dropping a bit of 'World In Motion' into the mix ahead of the big match today and prepping the crowd for the huge finale to come.

For the second week running Manchester provided the headlining act and The Courteeners were just as legendary as their predecessor Ian Brown.

1500 revellers were in the palm of their hands - bouncing, arms aloft to 'Not 19 Forever' for a truly epic closing to an epic night.

But that wasn't the end, before the crowds dispersed The Reverend John McClure had grabbed the mic to rally the troops to get down to the Aftershow at Es Paradis.

This is where it got messy - McClure in the crowd, The Courteeners singing Pulp's 'Disco 2000' karaoke-style and then on to the Reverend Soundsystem who ripped it up while unveiling their new direction with a typically rousing and partisan performance of old favourites and brand new indie-dance bangers.

Resident DJ, Doorly, was also on hand with yet another floor-filling set - don't forget that he mixed the new 'Ibiza Rocks presents Reclaim the Dancefloor' compilation which is out on Monday, pre-order your copy here.

A night that will live long in the memory, next week Playboy come to town...
