Introducing 11: Citizen

In 2012 the sky appears to be the limit for Manchester collective Citizen.
When members Suzy, Marc, Ant, Jordan & Andy (Singer, MC, Producer, Co-Producer/Drummer and Guitarist respectively) come together they form an innovative sound that spans a variety of genres with clear influences from the worlds of Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Rap, Chart Pop and Hip Hop.
Last week the group were invited through The Chris Moyles Show and our musical director Zane Lowe to take part in the massive Radio 1 takeover week where they smashed the special BBC Introducing night from Hull's Adelphi venue with a 4 song set in support of newcomers Pulled Apart By Horses.
You can catch Citizen this week in their hometown as they have been added to support Yasmin at the HMV Next Big Thing festival, an impressive tour that sees 2012's brightest and most talked about stars playing at venues around the country.
With more high profile gigs and imminent releases on the horizon expect to hear a lot from Citizen this year.
