Introducing 09: Howler

Riding on the crest of a wave of fresh US bands making their way over to the UK are Minneapolis based Howler.
Consisting of Jordan Gatesmith on lead guitar and vocals, Brent Mayes on drums, Ian Nygaard on guitar, Max Petrek on keyboard, and France Camp on bass the band are signed to Rough Trade Records and this month were named in the NME's new bands for 2012 list with the magazine praising them for their "garage rock with a sun-kissed feel" and drawing comparisons to the likes of the Black Lips and The Drums.
Howler's debut album America Give Up has been released today with the first track "Back of Your Neck" made available for download from their website. Expect to hear them storming festival stages across the world this summer.
